SportAccord and GAISF President Raffaele Chiulli today addressed the Sport4Impact Forum and praised the initiative on its mission to build stronger communities through sport by encouraging the strategic utilisation of sport at a local level.
The Sport4Impact Forum brings together researchers, academia and policy-makers to promote and strengthen knowledge-based interventions for the social use of sport to optimize their real and durable impact.
GAISF granted official patronage to the Sport4Impact Forum given the importance of social inclusion and community development to sport and the global community.
During his message to the forum, President Chiulli said:
“GAISF is delighted to grant official patronage to the Sport4Impact Forum in light of the serious work that you are all doing on strengthening the foundations for the real social role of sport.
“The global community of scholars and researchers are key in the global process of having sport as a pillar for a better society. GAISF feels at home at this Sport4Impact Forum as the social role of sport is at the heart of everything we do.”
