Lausanne, Switzerland – Dmitry Putilin, Head of Directorate of the Local Organising Committee for the SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2021, spoke during an expert session on business tourism during MICE Place.
Last week in Ekaterinburg, Russia, he shared his experience with experts in organising major events and spoke about the upcoming SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit 2021.
“In November 2019, when Ekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Region was announced as the host for the SportAccord 2021, we have a realised we had an opportunity to shine as a sports capital.”
During his half-hour address, he explained why SportAccord chose the capital of the Urals for the Summit, while noting that it took several years – since 2012, Ekaterinburg has hosted a large number of significant sporting events and proved its competence.
SportAccord is a unique event that brings together the leaders of all International Sport Federations, umbrella associations and the International Olympic Committee. The SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit will be held in Ekaterinburg between 23-28 May 2021 at the IEC Ekaterinburg-Expo.
