Jason Williams is a visionary leader who is intricately involved in the sports arena for over three decades. He is a pillar in the realm of sports management, with a relentless passion for excellence and an unyielding commitment to pushing boundaries.

From grassroots initiatives to global championships, Jason has been involved in supporting Trinidad and Tobago’s athletes and their journey of triumphs, challenges, and successes.

He is an avid cricketer, who from his personal experiences is able to marry the love for sport with the tenacity required to be successful.

His professional background encompasses Finance, Management Accounting and Financial Analysis with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and he holds a Masters degree in Finance as well as a Master of Laws in International Commercial Law. Mr. Williams has also been a lecturer with the Australian Institute of Business for almost a decade.

As Chief Executive Officer of the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (SporTT), Mr. Williams has combined the best of the sporting and financial worlds with strategic and innovative leadership in charting the course for sport development in Trinidad and Tobago and the region over the past seven years.

During his tenure, he has been responsible for transitioning the organisation and its many facilities to international recognition and compliance with world renowned international sporting institutions.

Under his stewardship, SporTT has been pivotal in hosting several major global sporting events, including most recently the Commonwealth Youth Games 2023.

Currently the organisation is preparing for Trinidad and Tobago’s involvement in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup hosted by the West Indies and USA in June 2024 and the Pan Am Aquatics Masters Championships in July 2024.

Mr. Williams is leading SporTT into the future with the vision of the organisation becoming a pioneer for sport tourism, sport development and high performance in Trinidad and Tobago and the region.

Most recently, SPORTT has undertaken a mission to reignite the spirit of sports within schools and communities, recognizing its profound impact on physical health, academic performance, and character development. Through strategic partnerships with various educational institutions, government agencies, and sports organizations, we are spearheading initiatives to reintegrate sports into the fabric of school curricula. By providing comprehensive resources, including funding, equipment, and training, we empower educators and coaches to impart the values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience through sports.

Moreover, our efforts extend beyond the school gates, fostering community engagement through inclusive programs that promote active living and social cohesion. With a commitment to accessibility and equity, we are championing a future where every child has the opportunity to experience the transformative power of sports, both on the field and in their lives.
