The location of the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham City Centre affords delegates with multiple options from a transport and sustainability perspective. New Street and Snow Hill Train Stations are just a short walk away from the ICC and official SportAccord hotels.
The below information has been developed to support your planning, and experience, through each step of your journey.
We encourage those delegates needing to arrive via air to land into Birmingham International Airport. If delegates opt to arrive at other UK Airports, they should arrange for onward travel to Birmingham New Street station.
A full list of links for ticket purchasing is provided at the bottom of this note.
SportAccord volunteers will be on-hand at the Airport arrivals area to welcome you to Birmingham.
There will be a shuttle service provided from Birmingham International Airport to each of the official hotels in the city-centre.
Should delegates need assistance with any transportation during their stay, then we encourage them to make this known in their application so their needs can be best accommodated. Designated Walking Routes
Birmingham is a well-connected city full of culture and attractions and we encourage delegates to make the most of their visit by travelling around on foot. If delegates are arriving into Birmingham New Street Station, they will be welcomed by SportAccord volunteers who will be on hand to direct delegates, and even join them for part of their walking route to the ICC or to their hotel.
We encourage all delegates to get their travel arrangements booked as soon as possible so that we can ensure a timely departure. A shuttle service will be available for those departing from Birmingham International Airport.
Should delegates need to check-out of their accommodation and store their baggage at the ICC, we are still in the process of confirming the storage protocol and will endeavour to include more information on this in future communications.
