Ben Avison
Ben has led on Host City (www.hostcity.com) since its beginnings as a magazine for the organising committee of the Beijing 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He drove the brand’s international development and the launch of Host City conference and exhibition – now the foremost meeting place for cities and sports, business and cultural events.
He continues to lead on Host City while directing Cavendish Group’s RAID (Regulation of AI, Internet & Data) brand. Previously, Ben was a reporter for Reuters, the Independent on Sunday and many leading B2B publications.
As a musician, Ben has played at major festivals, toured internationally and produced several albums. He has an MA in English Literature from Edinburgh University and is an Associate of the London College of Music.
