Áine Power is Deputy Legal Director of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (International Equestrian Federation), the international governing body for equestrian sports recognised by the International Olympic Committee. She is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, regularly represents the FEI in proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the FEI Tribunal and has provided on site legal support at 3 Olympic Games (London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020). On the regulatory side she is involved in drafting and reviewing the FEI’s rules and regulations. Áine is an Irish qualified lawyer and worked in a large corporate law firm in Dublin, McCann FitzGerald, before going on to complete a master in sports management from the International Centre for Sports Studies (FIFA Master) in 2011. She was appointed as a member of the UEFA Controls, Ethics and Disciplinary Board in July 2020 before being appointed to the UEFA Appeals Body in July 2023.
