The CSIT is a global multisport confederation for amateurs’ and workers’ sports people (“Sport for All / Grassroots Sports”), recognized by IOC (since 1986) and member of GAISF (since 1973). Founded 1913 in Belgium, a global organisation with 50 national member unions from 38 countries, 1 continental member and ca. 200 million individual memberships.
Every 2 years our flagship the major multisport event “CSIT World Sports Games” takes place (up to 8000 participants); Sports for All – Games for amateurs & workers, young, old, competitive (15-20 sports) & non-competitive from all over the world; a festival of friendship, cultural exchange, tolerance, respect, sustainability & fair play.
Each edition based on the idea of the “International Workers’ Olympiads” of the 1920s / 30s and welcomes CSIT member, non-member organisations, partners, governmental bodies, trade unions and companies with sports activities around the globe.
CSIT is host of the “International Amateur Sports Forum – Sports Impacts All” and platform for international projects (EU-funded) in the fields of grassroots sports & inclusion, refugees, sustainability, volunteers and young leaders’ education.
In 2021 the next edition of our major event for amateurs the “VII. CSIT World Sports Games” will take place in Cervia / Cesenatico in Emilia-Romagna Region from Oct. 12-17 and in 2023 in Rome / Italy.
