Visa information and support

E-Visas can be processed via the special-purpose website of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Information on E-Visa application procedures and a list of nationalities eligible to apply and allow to enter the Russian Federation by E-Visas, can be found via this website:

https://evisa.kdmid.ru/

Not on the list?

Should your country not be on the list, you must apply to a diplomatic mission or consular post of the Russian Federation for a regular (not electronic) visa.  Supporting documents such as an invitation letter, hotel booking confirmation or any other document confirming the purpose of your travel to the Russian Federation are required.

The unified e-visa entitles you to enter the Russian Federation and stay in the Russian Federation for private or business visit, tourism, as well as for participating in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic, sporting events and carrying out relevant communications and contacts.  If the purpose of your trip to the Russian Federation is none of the above, you must apply to a diplomatic mission or consular post of the Russian Federation for a regular (not electronic) visa.

Invitations, hotel booking confirmations or any other documents that confirm the purpose of your journey to the Russian Federation are not required for an E-Visa.

The processing time for issuing an E-Visa is no longer than 4 calendar days from the date of submission of the complete application.

The unified e-visa is a single-entry visa.  The validity period of a unified electronic visa is 60 days from the date of issue. The permitted period of stay in the Russian Federation based on a unified e-visa within its validity period shall not exceed 16 days from the date of entry.

Foreign citizens arriving in the Russian Federation based on a unified e-visa have the right to freedom of movement within the entire territory of the Russian Federation, except for visits to territories, organizations, and facilities to which a special permit is required in accordance with federal laws.

Before filling in the application form, please ensure that you have the following documents –

  • Your valid national passport that you intend to use when crossing the state border of the Russian Federation, with at least 6 months validity from the date of your visa application and sufficient pages for border crossing stamps
  • Digital copy of your passport data in JPEG format
  • Digital photo of your face in JPEG format that meets the requirements
  • Bank card for paying the visa fee

At the time of border crossing a foreign citizen is required to present a printed E-Visa notification and the valid passport.

NOTE: It should be noted that the processing and issuance of visas of all categories to foreign citizens has been temporarily suspended in order to ensure state security, protect public health, and prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  SportAccord will inform all registered delegates in due course, once the suspension is lifted.

If, for whatever reason, the visa is not granted, the cancellation terms and conditions for SportAccord 2021 will still apply regardless of the visa outcome.
