Media Applications

MEDIA ACCREDITATION FOR JOURNALISTS

Media outlets applying for accreditation to cover SportAccord must be in the business of news gathering as their primary source of revenue, and individuals applying for credentials must be professionally employed or assigned by newsgathering organisations.

Media credentials are not intended for those who sell photos or images. Credentials will not be issued to those involved in commercial ventures unless specifically approved in advance.

When issuing accreditations, priority will be given to:

• Wire services
• Daily newspapers – digital and print (based on circulation and region)
• Limited number of local newspaper/media outlets in host city
• Magazine publishers and weekly newspapers

SportAccord has established a limit on the number of media credentials as one (1) per media outlet if a credential application is approved.

Written confirmation of successful credential approval from SportAccord will be sent via email no later than 7 days prior to the start of the event or sooner.

The full SportAccord Media Accreditation Policy can be found here.

By submitting a media credential application online, you have read, understood and agree to the terms and conditions that accompany media accreditation for the SportAccord 2019.
