Sanjog Gupta

Sanjog Gupta is Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket Council (ICC), having taken up the role in July 2025.

He brings more than two decades of experience across media, entertainment and sport, with particular expertise in sports strategy, broadcasting, commercialisation and fan engagement. Before joining the ICC, Gupta was CEO of Sports & Live Experiences at JioStar, following a series of senior leadership roles at Star India and Disney Star.

During his career, he has played a significant role in the growth and development of major sports properties including ICC events, the Indian Premier League, the Premier League and Wimbledon, as well as domestic leagues such as the Pro Kabaddi League and Indian Super League.

Gupta has been closely involved in the evolution of sports broadcasting in India, including the development of digital-first, multilingual and women-focused coverage. As ICC CEO, his focus includes expanding cricket’s global reach, strengthening fan engagement and supporting the sport’s continued commercial and technological development, including its return to the Olympic Games at Los Angeles 2028.
