Regula Meier
Regula Meier is President of the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF), where she has guided the sport through its historic Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026 and its continued inclusion in the French Alps 2030 Olympic programme.
Before becoming President, she served as Vice President Treasurer and as a Council Member, gaining extensive experience in international sport governance.
Her involvement in ski mountaineering began at the operational level, serving for many years as a referee, technical delegate and president of the jury at national and international competitions. Within the Swiss Alpine Club’s Ski Mountaineering Commission, she was also responsible for the training of race organisers and referees. This practical experience has given her a deep understanding of competition systems, athlete needs and sport development.
Alongside her voluntary leadership in sport, Regula holds senior executive positions in the public and non-profit sectors. She leads an institution supporting people with disabilities. Her expertise includes strategic leadership, organisational transformation, governance, finance and stakeholder management.
