Pierre Trochet

IFAF
President

Pierre Trochet is President of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF), having first been elected in 2021 and re-elected for a second term in 2024.

A former American football player and sports administrator, he previously held senior roles with the French Federation of American Football, including Head of Education and Director of Development, where his work covered communications, commercial development, events and international relations.

As IFAF President, Trochet has overseen a period of significant growth and development for the sport, including the strengthening of the federation’s governance and global competition structures, closer strategic cooperation with the NFL, and the expansion of flag football worldwide.

His first term also saw IFAF achieve full IOC recognition and flag football confirmed for its Olympic debut at the Los Angeles 2028 Games. His current focus includes strengthening American football’s long-term position within the Olympic Movement and continuing the global development of both flag and tackle football.
