Jason Tao

Jason Tao is the President of the Asia-Pacific Snowsports Association (APSA). A seasoned executive, investor, and cross-border dealmaker, he brings over 20 years of leadership in corporate finance, investment, and risk management.

A graduate of the USC Leventhal School of Accounting, Mr. Tao began his career at BDO in 2004, specializing in accounting information systems, SOX 404 compliance, and internal controls.

Since 2009, he has invested in and advised ventures across commercial real estate, high-tech, education, and e-commerce, and led an USD 250 million M&A transaction spanning the Hong Kong and Mainland China capital markets.

In 2016, he was elected Chairman of China Electric Group, a multinational power and green energy group with more than 10,000 employees. He has led large-scale operations across China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia.

He also serves as VP of the provincial Private School Associations in China.

Today, Mr. Tao is leading APSA into its next chapter: forging international partnerships, growing participation and regional events, and building a sustainable future for recreational snowsports across Asia-Pacific.
