Jason is Chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA), the sport’s world governing body. He is a former professional snooker player, a former town mayor, and went on to be appointed chairman of the WPBSA back in 2010. During his tenure, he has overseen radical changes to the way the sport of snooker is governed. From its predominantly UK base of just 6 events, snooker has expanded globally to over 20 international events, with a massive global television audience, both terrestrial and digital. There are now talent pathways in every continent, almost 100 countries with participation One of Jasons biggest achievements is snookers massive development in China. Snooker is now one of China’s leading sports, followed by hundreds of millions of fans where there are 300,000 clubs including a significant city development know as World Billiard City.
