Clare Barrell

Clare Barrell is Director of International Relations and Member Services at World Rugby, where she leads engagement with national unions, regional associations, and stakeholders across the global rugby ecosystem. With extensive experience in international relations, governance, investment, and organisational development, she works to strengthen relationships, align strategic priorities, and support sustainable growth across the sport. She is recognised for building trusted partnerships, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and bringing diverse perspectives together to drive collective progress and lasting impact in sport. She Chairs the Impact Beyond Pasifika SteerCo, a long-term legacy initiative launched with AUD$30 million of Australian Government investment to harness the legacy of Rugby World Cup 2027 and 2029, driving sustainable growth and positive impact across Australia and the Pacific.
