The Asia-Pacific Snowsports Association (APSA) is a regional development and networking platform dedicated to growing skiing and snowboarding across Asia-Pacific, a region home to more than half of the world's population. APSA complements international federations, national associations and local partners by strengthening participation, education, talent identification, regional networking and delivery. APSA brings together its own standards for recreational skills training and assessment, a multi-level commercial event structure from recreational championships to the APSA Asia-Pacific Snowsports Open, and a fast-growing network of leading universities, resorts, snowsports training centers, elite athletes and industry partners. Through them, APSA connects global expertise with local passion, turning first experiences on snow into lifelong participation and, for a few, elite performance.

Lausanne Olympic Capital

Host City

For more than 30 years, the City of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud have proudly carried the title of Olympic Capital. Today, the region is home to nearly 60 international sports federations and organisations, as well as key institutions including the International Olympic Committee, the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the World Anti-Doping Agency. Together with leading universities, research centres, start-ups and specialist businesses, they form a unique ecosystem where the future of sport is shaped every day.

To strengthen and promote this unique ecosystem, the Lausanne Olympic Capital Foundation brings together the City of Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud in support of the international sports community. Working closely with the International Olympic Committee and regional partners, the Foundation supports the development of international sports organisations, facilitates major congresses and sporting events, advances sports diplomacy, and carries forward the legacy and values of the Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games.

The Olympic Capital has also developed extensive expertise in hosting major international sporting events and industry gatherings. Having welcomed more than 30 world-class events in recent years, Lausanne continues to reinforce its position as a leading destination for international sport and will host the ISU Figure Skating European Championships 2027 and the 2028 World Judo Championships.
