Filip Šuman

Filip Šuman is the President of the International Floorball Federation (IFF), a position to which he was elected in late 2024. He is the first Czech representative to lead an international sports organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee. A dedicated sports administrator and a former high-level player, Mr. Šuman has spent decades driving the growth of floorball. Prior to his current international role, he was the President of Czech Floorball from 2000 to 2021, transforming it into the second-largest sport in the Czech Republic. His commitment to sports governance is further demonstrated by his long-standing position as a Vice-Chairman of the Czech Olympic Committee since 2012, where he has been instrumental in overseeing non-Olympic sports and youth programs and being responsible for the biggest multi-sport event organized in the Czech Republic. Mr. Šuman holds a law degree and is focused on developing sports organizations in general.
