Zeynep Gencaga Dechelotte

International Olympic Committee (IOC)
Esports Associate Director
Zeynep Gencaga Dechelotte is the Esports Associate Director at the International Olympic Committee (IOC), a role she assumed in November 2024. In this capacity, she leads the IOC’s esports strategy and development, driving initiatives in line with Olympic Agenda 2020+5 and overseeing the planning and delivery of the Olympic Esports Games in collaboration with internal and external partners.
With over 15 years of experience spanning football, gaming, and esports, Gencaga Dechelotte brings a uniquely cross-sector perspective to her work. She began her career at Galatasaray, later consulting on club turnaround and stadium projects, before transitioning into the esports ecosystem in 2016. Her experience includes roles in media, education, partner management, and product strategy, and she has held positions at global publishers such as Riot Games and Ubisoft.
Gencaga Dechelotte played an active role in the inaugural Olympic Esports Week as one of the publisher partners and served as a member of the first IOC Esports Commission — helping to bridge the worlds of gaming and traditional sport within the Olympic Movement.
She holds a degree in International Relations and a FIFA Master in Management, Law, and Humanities of Sport (2016).
