
Pierre Ducrey

Sports Director
Pierre Ducrey joined the IOC in 2003 from the United Nations in Geneva, where he worked with the Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General on the promotion of peace and development through sport.
He began his career at the IOC in the Sports Department, first working on the development of athlete-related projects and the Olympic programme before focusing on relations with International Federations and sports operations.
In 2010, he moved to the Olympic Games Department, where he was responsible for Games operations and served as the key interface within the IOC for OCOG and YOCOG executives and a number of key delivery partners. He leads a team that works daily with the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games Organising Committees with the aim of delivering successful Games and long-term positive impacts for communities and people.
Since 1st July 2025, he is the IOC Sports Director and works closely with the International Federations, the athletes, the Organising Committees, and the Health, Medicine and Science and Olympic Programme Commissions.
Pierre Ducrey has two master’s degrees, in international relations and sports management.
