Michal has been at the helm of the International SAMBO Federation (FIAS) as CEO since 2014, showcasing his adept leadership in organising international sporting events across summer and winter disciplines. With a focus on fostering strong relations with national SAMBO federations and key stakeholders within the Olympic Movement, Michal played a pivotal role in securing FIAS’s IOC recognition in 2021, elevating SAMBO’s global reach. His involvement extends to serving as a council member of AIMS, underlining his commitment to the broader sports community.

His impressive professional journey includes a successful stint at FISU in Brussels from 2005 to 2011, where he demonstrated his prowess in managing the Summer and Winter Universiades and World University Championships. During his tenure, Michal streamlined event logistics and optimised venue planning, ensuring seamless operations. Later, as the Multi-Sport Games Unit manager at GAISF from 2011 to 2013, he facilitated knowledge transfer to future event organisers and spearheaded the development of comprehensive bidding documents.

Apart from his organisational roles, Michal is also an accomplished academic, having earned a Master of Political Sciences and International Relations in 2002, followed by an Executive Master in Global Sports Governance in 2020. As an independent consultant, Michal continues to contribute his expertise in games coordination and event operational planning, leaving a lasting impact on various organising committees, including those of the AG2018 Jakarta, EYOF2015 Tbilisi, and SU2013 Kazan.
