Lausanne and the State of Vaud are home to 60+ international sports organisations, including the International Olympic Committee, a vast number of international sport federations, the Court of Arbitration for Sport, various sports media, the International Academy of Sports Science and Technology and a multitude of active companies that offer varying services to the world of international sport.
Over the years, this region has generated a wealth of knowledge, expertise and innovative thinking that truly shapes the world of sport today. The Olympic Capital has built a rich legacy and valuable experience after the organisation of international sporting events. In 2022, Lausanne and the State of Vaud successfully hosted two stages of the Tour de France, events that were within the “l’année du vélo” programme which also celebrated the first edition of the women’s Tour de Romandie race, among other events linked to cycling.
The Olympic Capital continues to play its role as the centre of the international sports world: now, Lausanne is ready to host the IF Forum 2022!

Lausanne et le Canton de Vaud servent de domicile à plus de 60 organisations sportives internationales, dont le Comité International Olympique, un grand nombre de fédérations sportives internationales, le Tribunal Arbitral du Sport, divers médias sportifs, l’Académie Internationale des Sciences et Techniques du Sport et une multitude d’entreprises dynamiques qui offrent un vaste éventail de services au monde du sport international.
Au fil des ans, cette région a généré une multitude de connaissances, d’expertise et de solutions innovantes qui façonnent véritablement le monde du sport d’aujourd’hui. C’est la concentration unique de nouvelles idées, de nouveaux talents et de nouvelles opportunités dans le sport international qui fait de Lausanne Capitale Olympique le premier écosystème sportif international au monde.
La Capitale olympique a construit un riche héritage et une expérience précieuse après l’organisation d’événements sportifs internationaux. En 2022, Lausanne et le Canton de Vaud ont accueilli avec succès deux étapes du Tour de France, des événements qui s’inscrivaient dans le cadre du programme “l’année du vélo” qui a également célébré la première édition du Tour de Romandie Féminin, entre autres événements liés au cyclisme.
