Lausanne, the Olympic Capital and beating heart of international sport, will once again provide the setting for SportAccord’s IF Forum 2025, the flagship annual gathering created for the IFs, by the IFs.
Held in the iconic Olympic Museum, this in-person, invitation-only event will take place from 27 – 29 October 2025, bringing together leaders from across the global sports ecosystem.
A city committed to sport
The Lausanne Olympic Capital Foundation plays a key role in supporting the city’s mission to remain a global hub for international sport.
‘Lausanne is proud to welcome the IF Forum once again, particularly in a moment that marks a new era for Olympism with the election of IOC President Kirsty Coventry.’ said Sébastien Griesmar, Director of the Foundation. ‘The Forum reflects Lausanne’s continued role as the global hub for sport and our commitment to supporting collaboration across the international sports movement.’
Home to the International Olympic Committee since 1915 and nearly 60 International Federations today, Lausanne plays a key role in shaping the future of sport, in close collaboration with academia, start-ups, R&D, and expert service providers.
‘The IF Forum aligns perfectly with our mission to support International Federations and connect them to a thriving ecosystem that amplifies their impact.’ Griesmar added.
Navigating change together
Organised by SportAccord, the 2025 edition will explore how International Federations can embrace change and lead with confidence in an increasingly complex and fast-evolving world. From shifting geopolitics to the acceleration of digital transformation, the Forum will address the key forces reshaping international sport.
With over 400 attendees expected, including senior IF leaders, IOC leadership, high-profile guest speakers, and exclusive partners, this three-day gathering promises rich insight, meaningful exchange, and new pathways for collaboration.
SportAccord rooted in Lausanne’s ecosystem
‘Lausanne is more than our base; it is a meeting point for the world of sport. With the Maison du Sport International and a vast network of IFs, the IOC and partners across the city, this ecosystem keeps us closely connected to the challenges and opportunities facing global sport. The IF Forum reflects SportAccord’s commitment to convening the community, driving meaningful dialogue, and helping IFs lead with clarity and confidence.’ said Prof. Dr. Uğur Erdener, President of SportAccord.
As anticipation builds, Lausanne once again provides an inspiring setting for dialogue, innovation, and the continued advancement of international sport.
