LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND \u2013 Sport Liverpool and Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) will join the global gathering of sporting leaders and influencers as official Bronze Partners at the World Sport & Business Summit in Birmingham, West Midlands from 7 \u2013 11 April.<\/p>\n

To put it simply, sport is woven into the very fabric of our area\u2019s identity. Nowhere is more qualified, passionate \u2013 or embraces the spirit of an event \u2013 quite like the Liverpool City Region.\u201d<\/p>\n In recent years the region has hosted the 2019 Vitality Netball World Cup and the 2022 World Gymnastics Championships \u2013 both at the world-class M&S Bank Arena, and The Open Golf Championships at Royal Liverpool in 2023.<\/p>\n Looking forward, Sport Liverpool will see the return of the Open Golf Championships at Royal Birkdale in 2026, and Everton\u2019s new stadium located on the banks of the River Mersey has been named as one of the nine host cities for the UEFA EURO 2028.<\/p>\n Brimming with history and rich in culture, Liverpool is a walkable compact city with excellent road, rail and air links, and recently weighed in as top UK city for \u2018connectivity\u2019 and ranked 4th<\/sup> overall for \u2018large European cities of the future\u2019 in the fDi 2024 awards, focused on inward direct investment.<\/p>\n Delegates can visit the Sport Liverpool team on Stand 41 in the SportAccord Exhibition Hall.<\/p>\n Sports Authority of Thailand \u2013 key destination for sport and tourism<\/strong><\/p>\n Thailand is one of the world\u2019s most visited destinations ranking eighth, with visitor numbers now reaching 39.8 million, in recent figures published by the World Tourism Organization, emphasising the growing interest in Asian culture and what Thailand has to offer.<\/p>\n Known as the \u2018Land of Smiles\u2019, with excellent facilities and transportation links, Thailand\u2019s natural wonders and recognition as an innovator of sustainability, has attracted the world of sport.<\/p>\n The country was host to an outstanding edition of SportAccord held in Bangkok (2018) with former Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as the Summit conference keynote.<\/p>\n Dr. Gongsak Yodmani, the Governor of Sports Authority of Thailand said:<\/p>\n \u201cThailand Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) together with the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) promote the organisation of sports events at global level.
