In May, the SportAccord Convention will be hosted across two outstanding venues in Baku, offering delegates a professional, inspiring, and memorable environment for high-level dialogue and global networking.

Baku Convention Center
The Baku Convention Center will serve as the main hub of the SportAccord Convention, providing delegates with a world-class setting for the core programme.
As the largest convention facility in the Caucasus region, the venue has hosted major international events including the Baku Energy Forum and conferences and official events held in the context of COP29, the UN Climate Change Conference hosted by Baku. Its involvement in the wider COP29 programme highlights the Center’s capacity to support events of global scale and international relevance.
The venue features a main auditorium with a flexible capacity of up to 3,500 seats, supported by 17 conference rooms accommodating a further 2,500 delegates. With extensive networking and exhibition areas and modern technical infrastructure, the Baku Convention Center offers a comfortable, efficient, and highly professional environment throughout the Convention.
Heydar Aliyev Center
Designed by the late, visionary architect Zaha Hadid, the Heydar Aliyev Center is one of the most celebrated examples of contemporary architecture worldwide and a defining symbol of modern Baku.
Its flowing, sculptural form creates an immediate sense of occasion, offering delegates the opportunity to experience a globally recognised architectural landmark as part of the Convention programme. Inside, the venue houses a 1,000-seat auditorium, exhibition spaces, and conference facilities that have hosted internationally acclaimed exhibitions, concerts, and cultural events.
The Heydar Aliyev Center provides a distinctive and inspiring backdrop for the Opening Ceremony of the SportAccord Convention, adding a cultural and architectural dimension that elevates the overall delegate experience.
