The Baku Convention Center stands as a distinguished and contemporary venue, the largest Convention Center in the Caucasus region, meticulously designed to host events of the highest international caliber. Its striking architectural form houses a versatile infrastructure, including a main auditorium with a flexible capacity of up to 3,500 seats, complemented by 17 adaptable conference rooms capable of accommodating a total of 2,500 delegates.
This prestigious center has hosted a diverse array of significant events, including prominent conferences such as the Baku Energy Forum and the World Climate Summit, alongside captivating concerts. The venue also accommodates theatrical performances and exhibitions, demonstrating its adaptability for various event formats.
Spanning a total area of 46,000 square meters, the Baku Convention Center offers extensive facilities, including a spacious lobby covering 1,800 square meters and a restaurant capable of serving 1,500 guests. The main auditorium boasts a vast 405 square meter multimedia screen and a stage measuring 19.80 meters by 11.80 meters. The center also features a network area of 1,750 square meters, ideal for exhibitions and banquets, with a ceiling height of 21 meters. The conference rooms vary in size and setup options, accommodating capacities ranging from 20 to 750 people in configurations such as classroom, theater, and banquet styles.
The Heydar Aliyev Centre is an iconic landmark, a breathtaking testament to avant-garde design conceived by the globally renowned architect Zaha Hadid. Its fluid, curvilinear form rises gracefully from the landscape, eschewing sharp angles in favor of a seamless and organic aesthetic. This architectural marvel serves as a prominent cultural hub, embodying the dynamism and aspirations of modern Azerbaijan.
Within its sweeping structure, the Centre houses a diverse range of facilities dedicated to enriching the intellectual and cultural life of the city. These include a sophisticated auditorium capable of seating about 1,000 guests, versatile temporary exhibition spaces that have showcased exhibitions such as “Hyperrealistic Sculpture. Almost Alive” and retrospectives of world-renowned artists, a comprehensive museum dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, and a conference center equipped for international gatherings.
The Centre has also hosted captivating performances, including concerts by the Vienna Strauss Festival Orchestra and celebrated jazz artists during the Baku International Jazz Day.
Encompassing a total area of 57,500 square meters, the Heydar Aliyev Centre is a sprawling complex. Its distinctive roof reaches a height of 74 meters, and the building stretches over 10,092 meters in length. The fluid design creates expansive interior spaces, including a multi-functional hall spanning 1,796 square meters, divisible into three sections for varied events. The building’s construction involved approximately 121,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete and a steel space frame supporting a 40,000 square meter exterior surface composed of unique, geometrically diverse panels.
